Founded in 1981 by Giuseppe Codeluppi and Maurizio Dodi, the band kept for some months the name of Codeluppi's rock cover band, Off Limit; during the last months of 1981, the band changed name to Raw Power (from the Stooges 1973 album with the same name) and became one of Italy's most long-lived and famous hardcore punk/crossover bands still active today.
