Audio Jackin' - 65%

Danthrax_Nasty, January 4th, 2004

I have come, after many listens, to appreciate this album for what it is, and that is basically, to use El Duce's own words, pure old school ,"Rape Rock."

At first this album will really catch you off guard with its rather odd feel, and overall rawness in production, but over time you come to find those aspects more appealing (or atleast I have). Even El Duce's partly off time vocal patterns are basically just taken as the mans own style, which is quite a change from albums like You Axed For It, Up The Dose, or even To The Max. Also I have noticed that appearently this album has also become a bit hard to find, and a rare example of sleeze seeing that its sold out, and out of print.

The guitar sound on this album is some what of an ordinary rockin metal distortion, but there are alot of moments where it just goes off into to soloing, and some what loses track of what the bass is playing. The guitars are just shredding away in a unfollowable manner which some what leaves you confused by that alone if you try and follow it, or really look for a pattern. Now dont get me wrong though, cause Sickie Wifebeater was one hell a good guitarist, and lays down some good licks, but it leaves alot of the songs sounding chaotic and some what unpleasent for those who dont have a hard on the group. With that said I can only say that you wont like this unless your really into this band, like me.

The bass and the drums are pretty much up to par and leave little for me to say about them other than they are done well, not outstanding or individualistic but decent.

The vocals are the best part of this (other than the lyrics of course), and mostly a high light of all their albums (I'm sure you could have guessed that). El Duces voice is totally orignal, and even though it gets off time its still a large portion of the entertainment on this release. Lyrically we have some of the most creative, comedic, and all out disturbingly gross and sexually perverse prose that, well, makes this allbum totally worth adding to your Mentors library if you can find a copy.

So in all, if you like great production, killer guitar riffs, perfect vocal arragements, and all else that would lie in the aforementioned than do not get this (although a good portion of the bands discography could fall into those categories). But if you are a huge fan of sick, disgusting, music for real men than you may want to check this out for amusing purposes alone. Also again I will say that I think this album rules in a way that is very unique musically, but due to certain aspects I have to give it a realistic rating.

Highlights: Chicks With Dicks (A great song about Glam Rock fags), Jump Through My Hoops (a song about controlling women), Sit On My Face And Squirm (if you cant figure out the meaning there your probably a homo), and Hill Jack Heaven (a song about inbreeding, and sex with children).
