Bizarre Embalming - Necrosadistic Surgery

Run of the mill death/grind - 50%

Bizarre Embalming - Necrosadistic Surgery

Well, that was a dud. It wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't good either. It was just generic grind that you'd probably find by just typing "death/grind" into M-A genre search and picking one. There weren't really any memorable riffs, the intros and interludes were unnecessary, and each song sounded the same. This is a good example of run-of-the-mill grind that doesn't really do much or go anywhere. I could tell this would be the case 3 songs into the album, and it was confirmed over the course of 16 long, boring tracks.

I would make this review longer, but there really is no point. I could go into detail describing the structure of the songs, the instrumentation, and all of the details of this album, but there's not much to it aside from your typical death/grind affair. If you're curious about this album, odds are you've already heard this band before with a different name. The album is by no means bad, but there's nothing that sets it apart from the other thousand generic death/grind bands on M-A.

On a side note not related to the music, this band also has that annoying tendency to shove random nasty-sounding words into their song titles to make them sound brutal. See Inhalation Control Of Putrefaction, I View To An Anatomically Dysentered Torso After Necropsy, and pretty much every song title on the album.

I give this album a 50% for being generic grind that doesn't go anywhere and has no real redeeming qualities, but for not having anything especially bad or subpar about it.
