Depression - Das Relikt

Depression - Das Relikt - 90%

Phuling, April 19th, 2008

This is the 15-year anniversary release by Depression, containing the, since long, sold out demo Erinnerungen, a re-recording of the three old demos Tal der Tränen, Vergessene Welten and ...In Verzwiflung done in ´95. But not only that, there's also a new re-recording. So it has two CD's, the original version of Erinnerungen, and the second re-recording of the songs... Plus two bonus tracks!

Unfortunately the promo-version only contains the new re-recording, so I can't really say what they sounded like back in the days - But the material's still strong enough to get you moshing and head banging! Unrelenting grinding, deep growling, gnarling screams and heavy, powerful death metal mangling. With every release Depression prooves to be a name worthy on a top ten list of the greatest grind acts of all time. And considering the material's 12-15 years old, but still making ears bleed across the globe should be all the proof you need. Sometimes a bit mincecore, sometimes pure grind, but always murderous!

There's not much to say about these guys, 'cause it's great as always! And since there's no use in me just repeating myself I'll leave you with this - Das Relikt is strictly limited to 1000 copies, and if you don't wanna be left without an essential piece of deathgrind, you better act fast!
