Wargasm - Little Drummer Boy / Jingle Hell

Cool But Short - 50%

Vlladimir, December 7th, 2007

I like Wargasm, especially first three releases, thus I didn't heard ''Suicide Notes'' album. Anyway, This single presenting one new track and two track from ''Suicide Notes'' release, but in better production I suppose. Title song is so so, short and fanny in lyrics, but with boring start that last for a minute and a half, and then follows with total hard core stomp within 50 seconds. Other two tracks are cool, ''Meat'' is standard Wargasm tune, with their cognizable sounding, with crunchy thrash/heavy riffs and catchy choruses. ''This May Not Be Hell'' is a little bit weird song, with some standard Wargasm markings, but also with some very, very straight thrash metal structures. In some parts, song reminds me on some moments from Vio-lence's early efforts. Production is well done, sharp and straight with all elements putted on their place, so there's no any parallels. Cover artwork is very cool and comic-like, very well painted and designed. Suits their musical style very effective. And yes, this is their best artwork concept 'till now. All in all, this is fine and cool single, but it's a pity that they didn't released anything else, since then. I rated this single ''50'', because of it's shortness.
