So.. you thought that Avulsed was brutal? If so, that means that you haven't listened this. Dave Rotten (of Avulsed fame) along with David Nigga created this project, which is brutal as fuck. What will you find here? This is just BRUTAL death metal (emphasis on brutal). Raw, heavy, with lots tempo changes. But let's start talking about the vocals. You might have heard Rotten's squeals and growls, but with the raw production of this album, they sound even heavier and more evil than ever! The squeals are not annoying, which is the case in most of the recent brutal death metal and deathcore bands. And the growls are deep. Really fucking deep. And he didn't use any effect to improve his vocals (well, that's what he says). He's one of my favorites nowadays, and his performance is in no way dissapointing. Now, the guitars. Fast and brutal riffs, mixed with some slower riffs. Tempo changes now and then, the songs are not tedious due to the riffing, which is really interesting and entertaining. The bass.. well, in some moments it can be heard without much problem, but in almost the whole album it's under the sound of the guitars, the vocals and the drums. Oh! I was forgetting the drums. Good performance. Fast when needed, and in the slower parts is adequate. Unlike most brutal death metal albums, there's not a blastbeat abuse on this album, like the ones that those "oh, look how fucking technical we are!" bands usually play *cough*Hate Eternal*cough*. The lyrics, well, they deal with antichristianity, but in an atheistic rather than a satanist way. At least is not the typical "thou shall praise thy mighty lord Satan! Otherwise, thou shall be sacrificed in the name ov Baphomet!!!1!" In fact, some of them are a bit funny, like the ones of "A Monk's Wetdream", which talks about a monk (ha, you didn't see that coming) who has erotic fantasies of the virgin Mary. And, because the original pressing of the album is really hard to get, you might get the one that has bonus tracks taken from their demo (which can be found in the "Drink... Drink the Blood" compilation as well).

Overall, a surprisingly good album. Recommended to any Avulsed fan out there, or an average death metal fan who wants something brutal and raw.
