Caducity - Whirler of Fate

Epic death metal of the highest order! - 90%

Spawnhorde, February 17th, 2007

Epic death metal of the highest order. A 45 minuitue onslaught of riff after riff, bludgeoning you with their heaviness and subtle melody. Every song completely destroys and there are no pretentious mid-album intro tracks or antyhing, as is common with epic music; just track after brutal track of thick death metal with a weighty concept. The vocalist, Guy Nirion (otherwise known as Noisegrinder or N.G.) delivers his extremely thoughtful, well-written lyrics with passion. The drumming is solid and workmanlike, with some great fills, but also good control over varying tempos from fast and thrashy to slow and doomy. This is a great epic death album for all fans of old-school death metal and people who feel like death metal needs to be more than gore and guts sometimes!
