Silence Sang the Praise of Death - 85%

HangmanOfPrague, October 11th, 2005

First off i'd like to correct that this is Black Metal! True to the core. Slow yet very catchy drumming. The sound will drag in your ears minutes after you finish listening to this short but great EP. The better of the two songs would be "Silence Sang the Praise of Death". When it enters into the chorus you feel the agonizing screeches literally pound against your ear drums. At no point in this song does it grow boring. I'd say the only thing I could say I don't like about this one hit wonder (sadly as it appears) would have to be they couldn't record another album. They would of surely made a name for themselfs. This album demonstrates another great example of why some of the best musicians hail from Sweden. Lets also not forget the second and final track "All Dead" it takes a few listenings but after a bit into the song you hear those same agnozing screams in which you love most about the album. A few catchy riffs and more simple drum work. This my friends is an album worth having!
