Infesting the Exhumed

Firstly, if anyone doesn’t like catchy songs with short samples at the beginning, generally concerning porn he can simply stop reading this because that is what this band is more or less all about.They have shit loads of catchy riffs that are also quite groovy but which are not all slow. They have lots of fast picking riffs, double bass riffs as well, which are fucking great to listen to. The main element in this CD is by far the drummer’s feet. By this I mean that he can gain lots of speed with his feet and the sound of the bass drums stand out in the recording. The vocalist is utterly sick and brutal but he seems to be a bit repetitive at times. This is easily made up for by the high-pitched screams, which are fitted perfectly in the songs. What I don’t like much about this CD is the lack of blast beats, which I think is necessary in a death metal band nowadays.Sound quality on the whole isn’t all that bad. The drummer’s sound could be improved slightly. The bass drums and cymbals are great but the snare and toms are not to my liking. Anyway, a good CD which is definitely worth listening to despite some minor flaws.
