The name of the band means „Deathcult“, so its obvious where they get their inspirations from…

This demo is basically raw hateful black metal, with production that is ok. Well maybe not everyone would be of that opinion, but I think so… So, the highlights of this demo would definitely be the vocals, the bass has some cool parts as well, as well as the drums that are pretty good. The Songs vary from mid-tempo parts to quite fast hateful outbursts to slow parts. Sometimes they become buried in the production at parts, but overall they kick ass. Quite appeasing to anyone who likes this kind of music. The Gorgoroth cover is pretty good as well. Never at the level of the original, but it fits to Totenkults style. They did a good job, it has niceties. The guitars are a bit too quiet in comparison to the ferocious bass. Still, they have their moments. These Germans know what they’re doing, and besides, Black Metal releases don’t need to have good production to be good. I prefer it raw, but I found it interesting that these guys, instead of having bass that’s barely audible, have quieter guitars… interesting twist. This tape has a very hateful atmosphere to it, another plus…

Summary: very good raw, hateful black metal demo, with many pros, try to get your hands on it if you like your Black Metal raw, hateful and under produced. Hopefully these guys bring out a full length soon that has the potential of this demo.
