Volkermord

To begin with, I have to point out that the only thing that almost kept me from buying this demo is the fact that it was only released as a tape and that the countless bootlegs out there made any search for it a thankless task. Today, however, it happens to be among my most prized items. VOLKERMORD were very short-lived, but this hardly matters, as they did eventually turn into one of the Truest Black Metal bands ever, Armagedda.

I had long thought that the glory days of Black Metal were gone when this demo was released. And I was dead wrong. For what Volkermord play here cannot be described in any other way but this: Grim hateful Black Metal! The songs have it all - rhythm, melody, inspiration, and what matters most, pure hate and darkness. This is what True Black Metal should sound like, and VOLKERMORD immediately joined the elite. The songs are simply ravishingly obscure!

Very few people will ever get to hear this, which I am more than pleased with. It is not easy to find, even as MP3s. The few who will ever get to experience this demo are guaranteed to hear TBM in its purest form - an honour for any pathetic human if you ask me!
