Agressor - The Spirit of Evil

Decent, Generic Death Metal - 60%

Scissors, January 29th, 2006

Agressor, who can’t even spell their name right, play some pretty decent, generic death metal. There is nothing special about them that makes them stand out above any other bands. The vocals are your typical death growl, the guitars are heavy, fast, and somewhat melodic, and the drums go by pretty much unnoticed, meaning they are doing their job blending in and keeping the band moving. The band overall has a very “full” sound to it. The production quality is good and very clear. If I had to compare them with another band, I would compare them with The Crown. Sometimes when I’m listening to them I have to double check to make sure I didn’t put in The Crown instead. The live tracks are good, showing that the band can hold up on stage as well as in the studio. If you are a death metal fan looking for more of the same, this is for you.
