Internal Suffering - Choronzonic Force Domination

A Good Listen - 79%

Over the past decade, a number of fine metal bands have sprung up in South America. Internal Suffering is a prime example as they are a quartet hailing from Columbia. On “Choronzonic Force Domination,” they have created a solid brutal death metal album.

Their style seems to be heavily influenced by US death with a sprinkle of technicality. Grinding guitars, extremely fast drumming, and harsh, pounding vocals are what Internal Suffering is all about. Fabio Marin’s voice is very deep, raspy, and intense.

This record also features riffs that are pretty consistent quality-wise. There isn’t a whole lot of variation but Leandro Quiza does a great job playing what he has written.

Necrophagia may come to mind here. There’s even a solo here and there, with the one concluding Dagon’s rise standing out as the strongest. Overall, however, “Baphomet Invocation” is probably the album’s best song, where everything flows almost perfectly.

Internal Suffering hasen’t done anything new or innovative with “Choronzonic Force Domination.,” but fans of this genre will find themselves enjoying the album.
