Good Gore, Nothing More - 70%

optimuszgrime, March 8th, 2008

The first full length for this over the top gore outfit from where else but the Czech Republic. Their brand of gore bears the trademarks of the American school a little bit too, but mostly they stay fairly old school and East European, like C.A.D, Squash Bowels, Malignant Tumor, Pulmonary Fibrosis. But unlike these bands they have some really crazy pig squeal vocals that sound like straight up whistling at times. There are many punk riffs and weird intros, mostly just comic, to keep you entertained, and there are plenty of double times and blast beats to fulfill the needs of fuck ups like me as well. The guitar work is part d-beat, part grinding, part harmonization, and all good in my opinion. This album is over all tighter than your average gore grind album, but does not fall far from the mark of just that, your average gore grind album. Also, I think it is a bit long; this kind of music is best enjoyed in small doses. High lights include ‘Scabies’, ‘Bloody Issue Of Sperm’, and ‘Esmeralda’ which is about a shitty Brazilian soap opera that plagues the countries of Eastern Europe, and why here and not elsewhere I do not know, I guess we are just suckers for that shit. Good, but not ground breaking.
