Ovations to Putrefaction

'Ovations to putrifaction' is a four song barrage of death metal in the ancient swedish style. Hailing bands such as Nihilist, Autopsy and Grave, this demo has all the hallmarks that once made those bands such influential masters of the scene. Catchy song writing is complimented with thick vicious guitars that sound like they are coming from a dungeon. The reverb over the production really gives it an 'authentic' rehearsal feel but the clarity is never lost. Add some solid drumming (not endless blast like so many of todays young death metal bands) and old school gutteral vocals (not frog nioze garbage!), and you have yourself one hell of a killer demo! If this was released in 89-92, these guys would be regarded as scene leaders perhaps! The only current day band of this style that compares to Necrovation is Repugnant. Are we bearing witness to the second coming of killer Swedish death metal? Time will tell. Hopefully the guys can keep up such an incredible standard. This is definetly a standout demo of it's year. Get your nasty fingers on this tape if you can and decide for yourself... I'm hooked!
