Chainsaw - Smell the Saw

A very cool release with good production - 90%

wang, June 14th, 2005

The album opens with a loud cry, ¡°Master of Fate¡± and ¡°Nightmare World¡± This track is the most heaviness track from this album. There is still plenty of melody to go around cathy riffs darker and more aggressive. I noticed a slight change in music style back into heavy metal style. The third track, "The Butcher of Bagdad", European thrash metal (ala Destruction or Kreator) with the classic melody-driving heavy metal textures of the NWOBHM. Metalucifer's "Heavy metal Chainsaw" comes to mind here. More heavier more better as me¡After listening to ¡°She just wants to Get Laid¡±, they turn back with thrash beats, I like ¡°Burned Alive¡± and ¡°Dead and Buried¡±. The bonus track is actually a little laughable titled ¡°Superstore Warrior¡±... and ending with scream by girl. Lyrics are pretty universally shallow, as you can probably tell from the song titles. Good quantity booklet and layout. There are lots funny photos. Sure, band members with friends perform true metal day life that you can feel from photos and lyrics. Hahaha~~ the music is a mix of Speed, Thrash and 80 Heavy Metal with excellent thrashy vocals.

Sure, Although the record as a whole not original by any standard, but it's enjoyable, A very cool release with good production, something that 80s¡¯ heavy metal and thrash metal lovers should enjoy.
