Another great album by Red Warszawa! - 96%
Danish metallers Red Warszawa's third album, Tysk Hudindustri (German Skin Industry), continues in the same vein as their first 2 albums. However, the production is a little different. The guitarsound is heavy as always but the drums are actually quite "punkish"... but on the other hand, Red Warszawa claims to play Polish Punk so why not? Nevertheless, it's a cool little gimmick!
Once again, RW adds another set of sing-along when you're drunk classics to their repertoire. Songs like Der Vil Altid Være En Straf (There will always be a punishment), Tror Du Det Er For Sjov Jeg Drikker? (Do you think I drink for fun?), Narko og Porno (Drugs and porn) and Bilerne Ud Af Byen (The Cars Out of the City) indicates that the band still manages to write some not just funny lyrics but actually some lyrics that really has a content and meaning to them (although you don't really notice when you're drunk as a skunk and just shouting along with your friends).
Otherwise the band is in great shape playing their asses off with a lot of cool riffs, solos etc. It's really impressive that they can maintain such a high standard! Jens' voice suits the music remarkably well (you have to hear him sing to believe it) and without his great vocals, there would be no Red Warszawa.
If you like heavy metal and you also like a good laugh once in a while, then go get Tysk Hudindustri. It's great!
