Divine:Decay - Songs of the Damned

Uhm.. no thanks - 35%

Divine Decay is a pretty new band hailing from my neighbours in the east, Finland. They play thrash metal, although very heavy metal-influenced and not very fast nor aggressive. And that's just my problem with them. It sounds neat and well composed but oh, so boring. It's like they have no anger in them at all, especially the singer - goddamnit he's as convincing as a rock or something as full of life. His voice doesn't sound bad at all it's just so dull, monotonous and totally lacks enthusiasm.

The production is alright and all but, none of the songs really makes me want to jump up, bang my head and thrash all around if you know what I mean. This is far from an album I would buy, meanwhile these guys work on their sound I put on Machine Head - 'Supercharger'. Those guys know what aggression is.

And no, track 10 isn't a Judas Priest cover.
