Morgain - Abandoned in the Forest of Weariness (The Call of Fairie)

Weariness kicks in after track #2 - 48%

This Slovakian band has been around for quite some time. This album is yet another one of their "Forest Of Weariness" cycle, this time the listener is 'Abandoned In The Forest Of Weariness'. This forest is a homogenous compilation of smelly, slimy rotten trees which are all alike and ridiculousy boring.

The first song "...And Reality Hurts" is quite decent. Lots of Slovakian folk themes and catchy doom/gothic guitars. Alas, every single song afterwards is an exact copy of the previous one and are all pointless. Leadsinger Slavka Tomayova sings in a halfway grunt style, somewhat comparable to the way of singing on Paradise Lost's "Shades Of God". This makes the ridiculous lyrics even more annoying, because now I can actually hear them.
Potentially interesting instruments like an accordeon doesn't save this tormenting record either. And what is up with having 7 people in the band, but no real drummer? And why is that place taken by some kind of Sovtech drumcomputer?

I'll keep it shirt, because a lengthy review for this album would make it as boring as the album itself.
