Offside

4 of these songs are available on the album Stripped, released a year later, and my opinion on those songs can be read in my review of that album.

I'm focusing on the song Fly Away here, being the only song not available elsewhere and it actually took me hell of a long time to track it down. This Ep was released in limited copies and is really unavailable. However, I met a dude, who had had a japanese penpal some years ago, and she had sent the dude a tape of Offside around 1995, so I borrowed that tape and was finally able to hear Fly Away.
I knew that it wouldn't be a typical Pretty Maids track since Offside/Stripped was more or less acoustic, but it's a fine little ballad that really screams SINGALONG during the chorus.

I think that the song is a cover, but I haven't got a clue who made the original so I can't make any comparison to whether the maids plays it better or not, but it's well played nevertheless. A really fine song and it's a shame that it's not available anymore. I'm glad to have it in my collection!
