Sin Origin - Night Aeternal

The mediocre will beget irrelevance - 12%

This is the kinf of CD that you would find shattered in the dirt of the shoulder of a highway. It's been some time since I purchased music this painfully unimaginative and bland. These $7.00 are forever lost to this so called "NIght Aeternal" with no hope of ever returning to me. Profoundly uninspired vocals are exacerbated by a regettably clean yet monochromatic production, a fault which further illuminates the use of obviously and ostentatious false drums (drum machine) !!! These inadaquacies may have been to some extent masked if a four-track had been used and this had been released on cassette. In any case, if you can't find a human (or primate) drummer, you do not have a band. I could have lent some respect to this if actual drums had been implemented as there appeared an occassional decent riff, but only to be totally delegitimized by stupendous fraudulent drum rolls and raspy breath that passed for vocalisms. What is the point of this release? Almost 60 minutes expounding endlessly, seemingly without aim or ambition. Ultimately, there is a vague attempt here at being 'kvlt' or 'raw bm' but so misconstrued and unfocused I'm left with an hour of regret and loss of cash.

Amazing USBM. - 100%

I was first intoduced to Sin Origin via blackmetalradio.com, after listening to the same song for 45 minutes straight I decided to order the album immediatly. What I recieved was one of the most epic and raw pieces of black metal that has come out since 2000. Each riff is great and the songs are constructed so well that they can go on for 15 or so minutes and still not get boring. With fast as hell drumming and blazing guitars any fan of true black metal will appreciate this album as a breath of fresh air from all the new trendy BM acts out there now. It's tough to decide a favorite song because they're all so damn good. This album however only has 4 tracks, but time on the album totals near 1 hour. Any fan of Mayhem, Darkthrone, Kult Ov Azazel and anything similar will definatley enjoy this album. Be sure to check out Velonnic Sin, another absolutley amazing band off the same label.

Pure Black Metal! - 100%

When I first heard about Sin Origin I Dismissed them as "Mediocre" then I listened to a sample of "Night Aeternal" I was amazed at how crystal clear the production on this album was, (because it was an underground band)
and how Funeris and Nemesis Infernum could make ultra long tracks very interesting and maybe a bit catchy. So I bought the album and I realized that 4 tracks was more than enough! This Album is Filled with extremely distorted guitars (which is good!) and as someone described "reptilian vocals" which you don't hear alot of. On "Delineate Chaos Bewitched" half-way through the song the guitars get extremely heavy and Funeris starts growling, and Nemesis's drumming fills the background. All in all a very Grim album to hold in your hands, not to mention the awesome artwork on the front and back of the album. I Highly Recommend This Album to any fan of Darkthrone or Black Metal in general. I hope to see Sin Origin in concert on the East Coast sometime!
