I discovered Wolf's Moon through a random search on this site. I downloaded it not really expecting much, but I was surprised. Those Polish sure know how to make some black metal.

On Ethos of the Aryan Heritage Wolf's Moon creates melodic death metal influenced black metal with keyboards providing background ambience. The put it simply, it "rocks", sorta the same way Vlad Tepes does. is melodic black metal with some keyboards. With a noticeable death influence, it "rocks" in kind of the same way Vlad Tepes does.

As the notes mention, the vocalist from Honor sings on two of the songs; particularly the chorus of For the Glory of Empire and the entire song Gorejacy Blask Mocy. For the Glory of Empire gives off a very nationalistic vibe.

Highlights are Laws of Blood, the longer Landscape of the Dusk, and the aforementioned For the Glory of Empire. Landscape of the Dusk contains an extremely memorable riff that forms the backbone of the entire song. All of the songs are good though, even the intro. Sol Invictus, the closing track, sounds like it could have been lifted straight from a 1930's pride rally.

In closing, Ethos of the Aryan Heritage is an excellent release from a band I'd like to hear more of. If I was going to make a complaint, it's that it ends too soon, which isn't a complaint I make often. I recommend everyone with any interest in black metal check this out.
