Watch Them Die - Watch Them Die

not bad indeed... - 80%

Watch Them Die cross the boundaries between punk, thrash and metal and after a short prolog that ends with the words "I like to watch them die" these five fuckers start off with the rocking metallic punk track "Torn Pages" and I never get over the significant portion of thrash.

Already the first song offers the unique vocal, Pat sounds often like the dirty version of Dani Filth and Greg contributes tough shoutings. "Unleashed" the second bullet rocks straight ahead with simple hardcore rhythms and nice mosh pieces that are supported by the high-pitched screams of Pat!

With "Fall From Grace" the thrash is back, the song starts pretty slow with rocking rhythms but after 50 seconds they thrash ahead with fast riffings and crust-styled vocals and the thrown-in shrieks. "To See You Bleed" is a 7-minute-long anthem of slow-downed heavy rock with speed up parts and metallic guitars. "Sadist Ways" is again a more thrash oriented punk rocking track, last but not least "Resurrection" which is the longest track on the album with almost 9 minutes ends the record. The first four minutes are really sludge hardcore/rock but than they step on the accelerator and offer their great thrash!

Watch Them Die offer a sophisticated mixture of thrash, punk, metal and hardcore. Hell yeah!
