Sakkuth - Quest from Within

Just what the doctor ordered.... - 90%

BANG - lose ten points straight off: both the guitarists thanked god. tut tut.

Enough of my bitching, this is a CD suitable for any mood, i can switch from ophelias dream, or kari rueslatten to this, and not get even slightly put out or irritated, finally, a death metal band with prominent drums that stand out more than verythign else but throat.

Good tracks:
**track9:lantern----Something that makes this stand is the switch between black metal vocals and death metal vocals at least 6 or 7 times throughout the song, and the drums, yes the drums, aaaaah (sigh of relief).and the guitar solo, its not really anything godly, but it goes right to the point, a guitar solo should set a mood, represent something, not say "look at me im a guitarist who is seeking attention because im good", although a bit of technical work never goes astray.
**track4:Quest from within----Just so catchy, vocals sound a bit shit though, screwed up rythm.
**track5: this is Ok, but, the soloing which makes up the whole song changes moods too often, first its sad sounding then not sad but dramatic, then happy, still happy more happy, miserable again, then more happy shit, but the guitar work is fucking genius, and would be a real bitch to pull off live.
oh fuckit there isnt any bad songs on this album, except track 1, it sounds so mediocre compared to the rest.
Best australian band since Alchemist, except maybe destroyer666, or astriaal, but it is good i maintain.

sounds like: a more melodic version of cryptopsy
