Fuckin' ROCK N' ROLL! - 100%

Werewolf, December 18th, 2009

WOW! This album really differs from what they used to play in the past! The only 2 elements that have left from the past are the 666% Satanic lyrics and the logo, but contrary to the Finnish band they copied the logo from, they didn’t start to play techno and shit like that – Heretic are back with a pure Rock N’ Roll vengeance from Hell! Clean vocals, mid-fast paced easily flowing music (not really Metal, but kinda Hard Rock) and nice solos are the law here! Greatly recorded and having a great sound, this band can hardly be recognized, but even though their BM wasn’t typical crap – this stuff is just a masterpiece!

The song Mr. Chainsaw also has an intro and outro consisting of GG Allin’s speech about his lifestyle and the song itself sounds like a dedication to Mr. Jesus Christ Allin. That’s really great, catchy and memorable stuff to listen to! After 12 songs that belong to the album, comes the song that for me is personally the highlight of this album, which is a demo recording of the song “The Devil, My Saviour”, which has the most enjoyable guitar work and a catchy chorus, closing this great album and making me press the REPEAT CD button every time I listen to this album. I really hope they’ll keep playing stuff like this in the future as well!
