Dark Tribe - Geboren an den Ufern des Wahnsinns

Pure Agressive BM. Hatred in a pure state!. - 95%

RomainVII, January 4th, 2006

It is encouraging to my ears to still be able to enjoy a handful of black metal musicians that are fighting to expand the style, rather than exploiting the style. This release id not for trendy ears; there are no fucking keyboards, or female singers, just pure aggression from these German metallars. The vibe created in this album is very interesting with varying guitar intensities fused together with harsh drumming, in such songs as “Dark and Insane,” and “Ripping.” There are fire-breathing vocals and screams on the album which add to the dark emotions that they create. There are a total of 17 tracks on this album, and over 70 minutes of venomous mayhem. The music is very techno-like with the arranged drumming, but DARK TRIBE knows how to incorporate the roots of true black metal into this new and unique style. The unrelenting firestorm of this album demonstrated the wide-eyed awakening of a musical entity that has finally hit stride. One can concentrate on the actual music and become absorbed in the vibe that is largely absent in the “Black Metal” bands that are coming out these days. The only major problem that I found in this record is the recoding. The recording is very raw, and the guitars are heavily distorted, and the programming of the drums is not as loud. It sounds like a demo, but the intensity of the music is still heard. The album is limited to 500 copies, and also has a really pro-printed cover. This is a great release considering that the band has done everything themselves.
