How a shitty sound can spoil a good demo. - 70%

Ouch! This one has a really crappy sound! If having a necro sound is allright for true black metal, it gets complicated when facing a symphonic (or should I say "NS Folk" because it sound more underground that "symphonic"?) black metal band. At the first listening I thought : "ho shit! Another one of this bands who record their demos a cave and that people buy only in order to put it fiercely on their collection of KVLT Underground NSBM bands"

You hear the vocals and the keyboard without any problems but to get the riffs and the drum pattern you're doomed to concentrate yourself as much as a tibetan monk. But while relistening to it, I found this demo really good, with good keyboard and the whole don't lack charms, and even if it is short, it has the time to set a war atmosphere that is quite original ans change from the pompous keyboards usally used. The vocals are quite great and very sharped. This deserved to be listened by anyone who is interested by the slavonic BM scene, but only those who are not affraid of such a sound, and that's sad that some people will hate this demo because of that.

But it could have been fucking much better with a little quality sound (I'm not talking a bout a CoF sound, but at least a sound like Astrofaes would have been enough) but I can't forget that this is an ukranian demo and that they probably not have the possibility to have a better sound.
