Supremacy - Satanic Reich

Satan calls for War....... - 80%

INVERSION, March 18th, 2005

Supremacy's Satanic Reich is Darksouls' Hymns to Satan rehearsal tape rerecorded with a slower pace and a couple of riff, lead and vocal rearrangements.

Review : Good debut opus. Morbid and evil atmospheres. Antihuman voices. Unholy noise. Lightning fast leads. Satan approves. The production is weak though, with cheap drums recorded on Fostex 4-tracker with Sears mikes, yet some violent-souding passages can be heard. Some great riffs and drum fills are barely audibled due to lo-fi sound, but this adds to the chaotic side of Supremacy's art. The lyrics, well written and inspiredly performed, display traditional satanic-evil elements blended with suprematist-elitist views (which I fucking agree with). I hail the repeititve and monotous playing of the rythm section, as well as the dark and evil riffing. It's fucking deep and mind-penetrating. Also, the speed-metal feeling with the fast picking, the pick slides and the solos possessed.

Highlights: Beast of Satan's intro. The "I am Him" howlings. The middle section (evil). The solo work, particularly the stuka-bar beginning and the nuclear ending of the trade-off.
Nocturnal Spell: the almost inaudible guitar fill in the first riff. The unholy solos. The painful vocals. DEATH ETERNAAAAAAAALLLLL ..........
Satanic Reich : SIEG HEIL !!!!! SIEG HEIL !!!!! SIEG HEIL !!!!! SAAAAATAAAAAAANNNN !!!!!!!!! (thounderous full-reverb amp-bashing). The 8-second lead played at infernal speed. SATAN.....CALLS.....FOR WAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRR !!!!!!!!!!!!...........
The Antichrist's Revelation : the leghty, monotonous and evil feel throughout the whole track. KILL THEM !!! KILL 'EM ALL !!!!! RAISE THE SCEPTRE OF SATAAAAAAANNN !!!!!!!!!! The tapping solo near the end (ala Mantas on Venom's Powerdrive). The chaotic finale.

Weak points: The overall production. The backward message intro to Antichrist Revelation (seems like they missed their shot). A couple vocal part and arrangements sound incomplete. One or two solos seem uninspired.

Conclusion : This first opus was creasted and performed with sincere and serious intentions with zero budget. It definitely is worth buying for a unholy totalitaryan black-metal traditionalist.

SIEG HEIL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
