Crionics - Human Error: Ways to Selfdestruction

Quite good - 80%

Crionics is very often said to be inspired by EMPEROR - and that is generally the reason why I have interested in this band. The music is a crossover of black and death metal plus keyboards - and that makes Crionics sound a bit like Emperor - drums blast, one guitars plays heavy, death-metal riff (it also reminds me... Zyklon! Indeed, sometimes "Human Error" seems to be inspired not by EMPEROR, but by the project of Samoth and Trym!), the second guitar plays a melody connected with "Anthems to the welkin at dusk" and keyboards create background. I really liked guitar solos by Waran, the best are probably in "Hallowed Whores" - the same person does vocals, which I don't like - they are similar to most of death metal's vocals. This album isn't anything great, but it is quite good, and I recommend it to fans of Emperor and Zyklon.
