Butchered Feast of Being

Butcher ABC hail from Japan, and can be seen as an all-star lineup, with members from bands such as Clotted Symmetric Sexual Organ, Vomit Remnants, and Intestine Baalism. The later two bands being more along the lines of Brutal Death Metal, I never bothered listening to them. CSSO on the other hand are featured on a 3-way split CD I’ve heard. I liked them, but never got around to buying any other material.

So what does Butcher ABC bring to the table? Brutal gory grinding fun! They play a hybrid of goregrind and old school death metal. Butchered at Birth Day was catchy, but way too short. Butchered Feast of Being although again an EP, fills this void, continuing down a similar path. These guys love Bolt Thrower as they center the song Bolt Slaughter inside Through the Eye of Terror off of Bolt Thrower’s Realm of Chaos album. Most of the music is catchy grinding gore, and it never fails to impress. They end it with a cover of Divine Eve’s Velvet of the Godless.

Four unmastered bonus tracks are included, but they are actually the unmastered versions of tracks 2-5. The funny thing is, the unmastered tracks sound better then the intended mastered tracks. The only reason I can come up with as too why they mastered this album is because it made the sound dirtier and heavy.

Regardless, this is an awesome goregrinding death metal album. If you liked their first EP, then pick this up now!
