Throneum - Decade of Necrostuprumical Madness - 85%

Phuling, April 19th, 2008

This is a 10-year anniversary CD for Throneum, compiling tracks from various releases throughout the years as well as rare and unreleased.

Black, thrash, speed and death metal are widely and freely mixed to create aggressive, energetic, in your face old school death metal. I guess I don’t really have to tell you from where they draw influence, considering the fact that there are covers of Sarcofago, Tankard, Anthrax, Incantation, Autopsy and Necrovore included on the CD. That’s a lot of name dropping going on already, but if you need more to be convinced I can add Merciless, Nihilist and Possessed to the list. Either way… The sound quality varies a lot, but never to the point that it’s lousy; it’s more a variation of gruesome and brutal sounds. If you’re a die hard fan and already own all their albums and such I don’t know if this CD is for you. But for those of you (like myself) who own just a couple of releases then this is right up your alley. I mean, who doesn’t want kick-ass, headbang your brains out, never go to work, drink and have sex all day, bloody fierce metal? ‘Cause that’s exactly what this feels like; like the perfect party album. It’s fast, it’s brutal and an absolute necessity for your record collection!
