Bestial Holocaust - Final Extermination

Real good - 89%

Milos, April 9th, 2008

I don''t know why this band is labeled as black metal. There are black metal elements, but I think this is thrash metal album in the vein of old Destruction, with just few parts that sound like black metal. One my friend even thought it was Destruction when I once played this album. In fact, it''s not that important if they are black or thrash. Important thing is the quality of music and when we speak about that Final Extermination is a must for every extreme metal fan.

Vocals are excellent and very original. Just in some parts there can be heard a similarity to Schmier from Destruction. I can''t remember when I heard last time that good thrash metal vocalist. The lyrics are in their native language which is good. Guitars are simple, but very interesting. Sound is also very good and every instrument can be heard, even bass is very audible. It sounds like it was recorded 20 years ago and I like it. Final Extermination is the best song in my opinion, but others are great too. I also like Masturbación Divina, Satánica Premonición etc. It''s actually one of the few albums that came out in last few years that I can listen every day. All these new bands become boring after a while, but it''s not the case with this album. There is still a room for improvement, but Bestial Holocaust showed a great potential with this release. Although I mentioned Destruction a few times in this review, I want to say that Bestial Holocaust is not a clone band, they just have some influences from that band.

Bands like this often change on their next albums, but I hope Bestial Holocaust will never change their style. They sound great like this and even original in these days when every band are just trying to be more technical or brutal, or to have clean production which sounds the same on every album, or some other shit like that. Highly recommended.
