When the Dark Emperor Returns

Black Torment began in 1996 under 'Black Graveyard' then changed name to 'Angzerdeath' before settling for Black Torment in January of 1997. After hearing the 'Demo 1997' I wanted to hear more so a year and a half later when I found out this album came out I wanted to get my self a copy. When i put it in the CD player the first song 'When Sathanas is Our Master' was so fucking fast and raw it wasn't even funny almost 'too raw' but was also very dark i quote lyrics from this song: "I go to a graveyard and turn over Christian gravestones, then I dig up the body's and light them on fire...with a can of gas and a MATCH! I paint a picture of Jesus FUCKING CHRIST and put it on the floor and burn it to fucking hell! - Satan is my MASTER!" The lyrics are so primitive and disgusting is what makes it good. The 2nd song 'His Journey into the Land of Darkness' was fast but depressing sounding. Track 7 was a very slow one which had added atmosphere. He also goes back to the style of the demo 'Book of Satanic Blood' such on demo 1997 on the song called 'Death' + Outro' which is an abruptum ambient style song. Also features "Infenrum" which was on demo '97, however its re-recorded with different style vocals and under the name "Into the Messianic Kingdom with a Torch" Overall this album is pretty good but it's sloppy and i would recommend the demo of the following albums over this.
