Bible of the Devil - The Diabolic Procession

Stoner METAL!!!!!!! - 95%

junnvox, January 16th, 2008

The title of this review says it all this is not typical stoner fare this is much heavier and definitely more metal than most stoner bands. The best way to describe this Cd is a mix of Judas Priest 80's era with Motorhead's drive and stoner style vocals (Kyuss).

This awesome CD starts off with a bang with wailing twin lead guitars fast drums and rousing vocals. Bible of the Devil go through many moods fast aggressive near thrash to quiet light and shade moments that bring to mind classic songs as Beyond the Realms of Death and Remember Tomorrow. As you can guess from my comparisons Bible of the Devil have a very NWOBHM style about them which makes them unique in this modern era.

The guitars as i mentioned before are steeped in old school riffing with blazing twin leads and very melodic soloing. The bass follows the guitars pretty much but comes to the surface from time to time with some nice lines. The drumming is solid and never flashy. The vocals are melodic and strong without being too much.

I could go song by song but to save time I will just say every song on here is very strong and full of great riffs and memorable hooks. This CD is a must have for any fan of NWOBHM era metal and for any fan of just good rock in general. Find this CD today. In other words BUY OR DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
