Cock Collector

So there I was, on Deranged’s page, minding my own business when my eyes went to one of Thomas Ahlgren’s other projects called “Arsonist”. The name grabbed my attention at once and I started searching blogs.

Regular guttural vocals, constant drum hammering, and irritating pinch harmonics; that’s all we have here. No major riffs during verses and limited use of lead guitars is what makes this demo even worse. The band hasn’t really left much to talk about. It’s just below average brutal death metal, that’s all. Being a person who prefers his death metal old school, I felt the vocals totally sucked too. The production is surprisingly very polished, but then that’s just a neutral statement and not a positive one.

The title track starts with some spoken parts where it seems some lady is torturing a man during sex by being “rough”. But as the song progresses, by the end, there’s a break which is followed by a very impressive bass riff and a solo. That was enough to make it the best song out of the five. Other than the last minute of this song, there’s nothing to look here.
