Severe Carnal Butchery

It seems that California breeds a lot of sick quality Death Metal and this is proven by the Pacoima based band: Sepsism. “Severe Carnal Butchery” is the third demo tape this band has unleashed having done ones in ’92 and ’93. This has definitely been their best production, well distributed and the one which opened the world-wide doors to Sepsism.Low grunts and growls, rabid - slow n’ catchy guitar riffages and awesome drum work kept me headbanging all the way as I heard this demo. I’m telling you – I need to be in a mosh pit for this band as this demo tape has blew me away the instant I heard it. Philip, Fernando and Danny have realy nailed it down with this sick release.

Tracks which I really liked are “Vulgur Strangulation”, “Sadistically Mangled and Devoured” and “Removal of Putrid Entrails”. The solo work done by the guitarist Danny during the demo isn’t at all bad – check out the closing solo at “Blistering Burnt Mutilage”Hell this band is sicker than a room-full of decomposing corpses! The sound quality is great keeping in mind the fact that this is a demo. I can’t tell you: “be sure to get your hands on this one” because if I’m not mistaken “Severe Carnal Butchery” is sold out completely but what I can tell you is to keep your ears open for other Sepsism releases because if they’re as good as this one then they must be must-buys!
