Insanity - From the Grave

Pure INSANITY!!!!! - 85%

Masofukkchrist, September 12th, 2007

What we got here is a good ol' package of insane old school death metal that just leaves the listener obliterated by its intense speed and aggression! Insanity are one of those bands who were part of the growing extreme metal scene from the mid 80's to early 90's and who didn't receive as much credit as they should of along with several other great bands who only made it through demos during the 80’s such as Necrovore, Pentagram(Chile), Sindrome, Terminal Death, Incubus ( Florida) etc... In this compilation of Insanity's music you'll notice that they kept that same fast, aggressive, non-boring sound throughout all the releases in here. You can describe their sound as if you had Possessed and Devastation (Chicago) put together, but with more technicality. The vox are fucking great! I can’t really compare them to anyone else’s; the guitars are insanely technical and very fuckin powerful! (Riffs are catchy as fuck!!!!) the drumming is very fast, typical thrash beat but 10 times faster! In the beginning of the cd you wont hear much of the outstanding bass sound until it goes into the “Death after Death” album part of the cd, but don’t get me wrong the rehearsal demo from 1985 is fucking great as well! RAW as fuck! So for those who are fans of 80’s death metal I seriously recommend buying this compilation, I personally had to order this from my local record store and believe me, it’s totally worth the money!!!!
