-Music by Alexi Laiho except "Shining" by Jani 'Pera' Pirisjoki and Alexi Laiho.
-Lyrics on "Talking Of The Trees" and "Vision Of Eternal Sorrow" by Jontte Livonen, "Homeland" by Samuli Miettinen.
-In "Homeland II" you can hear the main riff from "Towards Dead End" in an early form, played acoustic.
-Some riffs of "Talking Of The Trees" were re-used in "Mask Of Sanity".
-"Talking Of The Trees" was re-recorded in 1997 during the 'Something Wild' recording sessions and at first it was supposed to appear on Something Wild, but finally the band didn't use the song. Female vocals were not used in the new version, but the melody was played by guitars. Female vocals on "Talking Of The Trees" again performed by Nina Keitel.
-The name "Shining" was inspired by the horror movie with the same title.
