The original Deathcrush tape released before the 12" EP version.
Label on tape is hand written.

There are many bootleg versions, in all thinkable fashions, the Posercorpse Picture Disc from 1998 is a bootleg.

The LP & CD covers have a picture of cut-off hands on exhibition, Mauritania.

The intro is a composition by Conrad Schnitzler of Tangerine Dream. Contrarly to popular belief, Schnitzler did not create the piece specifically for Mayhem: when Euronymous asked for an intro he just gave him a random piece of music he found in his archives, it became "Silvester Anfang".

On some editions, "(Weird) Manheim" and "Pure Fucking Armageddon" are combined into one track.

The outro only appeared on the original demo tape, original LP and many bootlegs, it was unlisted on the cover. It could previously also be downloaded via the band's official website. The outro appears in a "supermix" on the LP - it runs faster than on the MC.

The original cassette tape is considered a demo by the band.

Recording information:

Recorded at Creative Studios in Kolbotn, Norway during February-March 1987.
All parts were tracked live, besides vocals which were dubbed afterward.
Co-produced by Mayhem.

All songs by Mayhem, except "Silvester Anfang", composed and recorded by Conrad Schnitzler & "Witching Hour" composed by Venom.
