For a long time I was wondering, why Pain (Swe) is considered Metal while Static-X is not?

Static-X is more Metal than Pain (swe) especially in the last two albums
Cannibal (2007), Cult of Static (2009)

Static-X is so industrial metal, but there's wonderful guitar solos in the above mentioned albums, which, Pain (swe) couldn't offer in any song/album!

Static-X is not metal, though.

Oh wow, I remember finding some Static X stuff catchy...I just listened to them again for the first time since Cannibal came out. Holy crap this shit is boring.

Listening to some Pain again...Its better than Static X...not really more metal, but I think it would get in anyway just through being a side project of someone in actual metal bands.

Cannibal is the closest to metal that Static-X has come. I personally think it's enough to accepted into the archives, but it's not so important to bring it up and bicker with the Admins.

Pain's first album is rather metal (and, curiously, somewhat bland compared to later stuff) if I do say so myself. Later stuff is more electro/industrial/pop/rock/whatever, although this doesn't make it bad.

I thought you were leaving though? What gives?
