Kimiwind, metalism.com is an old URL of the label, taken by cyberquoters.
Metalism.net is the new site, where you can find info about our latest releases, but you can see buckcatalog titles at our MySpace page.

BTW, I see tons of mistakes at descriptions of our bands/albums, if you will give moderator's rights to me - I'll fix it, when I'll have a time to do it.

P.S. you can delete all the links to metalism.com

For now, just use the "Report a mistake or additional information for this page" feature found just above each bands discography section (right next to the "add new data" and "update band data" links). Be sure to include the information you want to be corrected and a moderator will have it fixed shortly. Also, be sure to provide sources (most commonly as URLs/links) for all of your claims, otherwise the report(s) may be wholly disregarded.

Nope. This thread is to remind us that a lot of people don't care about reading our rules - even when they are written right before their eyes - and have no idea how this site works.

Quick question, are users allowed to create new album pages with virtually no information on the album?

Example: http://www.metal-archives.com/release.php?id=256919

Also, what was Drowned doing all day updating bands? I know he's a mod, but he updated a ton of them!

Abbreviations for a couple countries were changed. Every band with "(US)" was changed to "(USA)", "(Ger)" to "(Deu)", etc. That's probably why.

Of couse not. Sokol_666 did add this upcoming album without tracklist and cover.

As Carter said, mods are currently fixing tags of some countries. We realized they didn't follow the official list we were using for all the others.

It seems that the upcoming Heidevolk album has been submitted too early, since no cover art has been released (as stated by the official Heidevolk website).

http://www.metal-archives.com/release.php?id=257140

Official: http://www.heidevolk.com/www/index2.php?taal=2

I strongly doubt that the current info has been confirmed by more than 1 source as well (nothing about it yet on Napalm Records site).

Edit: cache check etc. seems to point in the direction of http://www.metal-archives.com/userprofi ... =Grimcicle.

gravewish is a pointwhore
he "updated" with false information the band rostau changing the label from indipendent to ragtime records. the album is self produced (I got 1 copy and the band members are close friends of mine) and ragtime is only the czech plant that pressed the cd

"To Die and to the Stars Ascend" can be purchased sending a mail to [email protected].
It's price is 3 euro + shipping.
The record is printed on a professional cd from RAGTIME RECORDS (cz) folded in a 3 pages, aged light card digipack. No cd-r.

The information was in the band's page so how do I suppose to know if it's true of false lol . Anyway Egyptian religion is what? :)

well since I submitted the band (and I am a mod) as independent you would at least google for ragtime before changing that field, wouldn't you?

"Egyptian religion" refers to the symbolism given by the band (as noted on their website) and in Warhammer 40k.

How is that difficult to ascertain?

Because I suppose it should be "Ancient Egyptian Religion" because current "Egyptian Religion" is Islam.

Then by all means, report or correct such minor semantic mix-ups; don't reference it in a disagreement as a completely unrelated jeer.

Not it is not. "Ancient Egyptian Religion" is a tautology, because otherwise there must had been a second important religion which has its roots in this country and for which it is prominent as well or has become prominent. Such is not the case.

I am not going to have a debate about that especially in this thread. Egyptian religion is something completely different from Ancient Egyptian religion and as I can clearly see that the band meant the Ancient Egyptian religion and not the Egyptian religion.

There is no "Egyptian religion". Egypt has a bunch of religions which are practiced all over the world, not just one exclusive religion.

True, this is why it should be changed to Ancient Egyptian religion based on polytheism.

For what it's worth; 2010 Immolation album 'Majesty and Decay' was probably added too early. I did a quick search through Nuclear Blast, the Immolation homepage and their MySpace, but didn't find it mentioned there. It's on Blabbermouth, though, but they say the cover art won't be revealed until the 25th of december.

Yes, it was added to early. The guidelines say that upcoming albums should have artwork (along with a full-track-listing and an exact/finalized release date) unveiled before they are added here. I'm sure someone has already reported it for removal. In the future, just use the "Report a mistake or additional information for this page" link for such matters.

Quote:
For upcoming albums: PLEASE wait until the album is released on the market before adding it. Do not add upcoming albums, unless all the information (release date, tracklisting and cover art) is 100% confirmed by MORE than one source. This is valid for bands that are already on the site only, do not submit new bands that have no releases even if there's a confirmed upcoming album.

Yes, I obviously posted because of and based on that rule.

I'm also well aware of the report function, but because I have seen more than one user mentioning the same matter in this topic, without complaints, I figured I'd follow their lead, without problems until now. But, I'll obviously use the report function in the future if a mod can confirm, for clarity's sake, that they have a general 'pro-report-function' consensus on this one.

The staff has a "general 'pro-report-function' consensus" on pretty much everything.

If the mod's answer to a user's query is just Deleted, Fixed or Done then it obviously belongs to the report function, yes. If the query may bring some discussion, it can be brought up on the forums.
There is the exception of the incorrect split thread, however.

Is this the right place to report a plagiarised review? I just found a review which, apart from its opening paragraph, is taken word for word from a record store website.
