I'm afraid so.

They have metal drumming. Vocals typical for metal.
And they are part of metal scene. I don't see any reason for removing them.

They are here as a non-metal project not as a metal band. And nobody wants to remove them.

Why is Intestinal Disgorge in the archives? It's noise/grind, not metal.

Regarding Van Canto's inclusion, well the only difference between shame and sham is one negligible vowel.

Hi why was Waste Nation accepted? It was rejected since 2 days for as I supose not being metal enough. It was submitted back then by thrashmania80gr based on the same information that got the band accepted now.

Deadfuck (Nld) was a joke band, and nothing was ever released (source: ex-guitarist/drummer). As such, it shouldn't be here.

GraveWish - I never listen this and not rejected/accepted by me; maybe accepted/rejected by mistake, other mods should tell you why.

AurvandiL - done.

EntilZha - done.

Cremature
and
Cremmature

From Indonesia, same band. As far as i can tell the one with 2 "m"s is the correct one.

Cremature should be deleted.

Is this really a metal band:
http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=3540296219
Sounds rather like ambient/noise with black metal facets.

I contacted the label after the releases disappeared from the site and was told they were canceled. Does that mean removal from this site?

None of those were ever released? That split had a September date.

If none of those were released, then yes, the band will be removed from the site.

They were released. I think the band claimed it was a bootleg afterwards. The band member posted here a few days ago explaining it (a few posts up). He said they were bootlegs but they had an agreement so it wasn't really a bootleg.

I only asked because it has happened to 2 bands I had added before for the same thing happening.

Sorry for bringing this up again but I have a question. If a label cancels a release after it was released and copies were made and are available for purchase, does it mean the release becomes a bootleg?

HI

I have a problem with a band I added

Lectern: I'm not totally sure about them

The band always ask me make changes which is not a problem but now after more than one year they ask me to change the date of formation to 1999 and same for the EP

They provided me all info with 2008 as formation date and suddenly they want 1999.....

Its strange and I don't know anymore if I must believe them

Yes Doomsday changed it but I find this very strange that suddenly they see this "mistake" as they called it and asked me to change to 1999.

2008 - 1999, there is a big difference

even here in this gig review in italian they say the demo was released in 2008

Maybe the band was on-hold during that period and the EP re-released in 2008.
Their MySpace page states 1999, there's not much we can do.

Yes it states 1999 for 3 days exactly .... since they emailed me to change the date here

Well its only to be sure the demo really exists and is not a hoax...

So apparently Black Nova does not use guitars. And I see nothing about an actual CD release of the music. The additional notes say "soon," and who knows how long ago that was put up, but neither the soundclick nor the myspace say anything about being able to get a physical copy. And again... guitars are generally required to make metal music.

I dunno, just one I found whilst searching up electronic metal on the archives.

Should probably go. Not sure about the first demo but the other releases are neoclassical / ambient and not metal in the slightest. Opinions?

Why is Unearth still on here? They're mostly just chug-a-lug riffs and break-downs with the occasional sloppy guitar solo. Same for As I Lay Dying. Even less so actually.

Love 'em or hate 'em, i'm pretty sure Unearth have enough metal, mostly of the Gothenburg variety, in their sound to stay on here. Same for As I Lay Dying, though I do remember a mod saying they were more borderline.

Are you guys sure this demo really exists?

I wasn't able to find it anywhere and this guy named Wolf is known for his many "ghost" projects and for joining known bands and quitting before playing any shows, recording any material or even showing up for any rehearsals.

I'm curious as to why the Dave Ellefson project F5 is allowed. As much as I like them, they're more hard rock than anything else. Even if they are acceptable, they are definitely not power/thrash as listed, but alternative metal, if anything.

From what I hear on their Myspace page it sounds just like Power/Thrash metal to me. I hear some resemblance to Nevermore as well as to Megadeth to name a few.

The demo on their page doesn't seem to appear on their Myspace. Is this even the same band? The details on the MA page pretty much match perfectly, so there's no question. The demo on their page must be fake. (Basically, I concur)

The tape isn't metal. It is ambient. Here is a picture showing that I own it because I don't have a way of ripping the tape, http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g86/u ... C00213.jpg

The album is for pre-order, not released yet.

1. Done. Thanks.
2. Where is info about release date? I can't find anything. Quite weird. Pre-order without exactly release date. They shown CD with everything.
I don't want to removed this note. they are described really good. Lots of time will be wasted. If this album will be not released still in February/March I will remove them. Or another mod who don't agree with me :P

Do you really think I submit a band which has its stuff out for pre-ordering? I asked mattp about the issue of physcial release (before the submission) and he replied to me that the discs were shipped on 11th of January from the plant. He also provided me with a picture of the album. I added this to the submission ...

edit:
just seen the last post in the thread ... you have a point there. Who knows when and how the album will be available... not much harm will be done with the deletion, so go for it ...
