http://www.musik-sammler.de/media/342161
The music is labeled as hard rock.
Opinions?

edit:

Is it allowed on the archives when a band only releases albums as downloads, but provides printable artwork so a fan can create their own physical copy?

If not, this should be considered for removal, though the second release is rather good blackened industrial doom metal and the first some raw black metal I liked less.

I think the band must have released something 'physical' but i'm not sure.

Generally speaking, such bands don't meet the requirements and should be removed. However, there is at least one band (and probably a very few more) that the site owners have chosen to exempt from this requirement, for reasons largely beyond my ken (or at least far enough beyond it that I'm not going to state my assumptions as fact).

This band is not one of the above, though.

http://metal-archives.com/band.php?id=54356

Was this accepted under the side-project rule?

If it was or if it wasn't, it still isn't black metal. The two releases listed are ambient, the first says so in the notes and is called "industrial/space ambient" on the label's page: http://narqath.tripod.com/releases.htm

I own the Extraterrestrial demo and it is ambient as well.

Anyways, should this be on here?

Are you sure??? As far as I remember I added their demo when I submitted the band back then. The info about the demo I most likely got from their own homepage.

Yeah, they seemed to have a demo called "Corrupt Christian Faith".

Accepted today. No riffs there that you wouldn't hear in System of a Down, Rob Zombie, KMFDM, Static-X, Slipknot, even Rammstein...

Two tracks on that split and that track you submitted is NOT metal. There is a seven track demo and I'm assuming it was added on the strength of that. Go ahead and add the releases and if you come across any more from the band and it appears to be rock, post it here.

I can't find any evidence of this band having a demo. Also, their official website's link is broken as far as I can tell.

It's written in the notes and it was added by a mod, that's evidence enough.

Got a report that this band's "demo" was not released physically but only as an mp3. Can anyone confirm?

I’d like to know how Pax was accepted in MA.

Dissecting their discography I found no more than 5 metal tracks, distributed through different (exclusive) singles and the S/T album:

- Firefly (from Resurrection of the Sun / Firefly single)
- A Storyless Junkie, Deep Death and Pig Pen Boogie (from the album)
- Exterminio (from Exterminio / Radar de Amor single)

Yeah, I had almost rejected them myself but figured I would let somebody else give it a listen first. It's too bad, because prior to that submission this user had been a trusted contributor (at least from what I've seen). I still consider him a valuable resource to the site, and hopefully we won't see any more submissions like that from him in the future...

I think that we can trust him with bands with "normal" genres.
About Groove, Experimental, Core or Industrial stuff I will think two times before accepting this ;P

It was likely accepted under the side-project exemption. It still fits the standards expected for the inclusion of side-projects, it could stay.

That is what I thought. I just wondered why it was listed as black metal.

I can't add the Extraterrestrial demo because it either has no tracklist or my tracklist was cut off >.<

What? World-wide distribution? where? It is not the only suspicious side-project example here.

Okay, Abalam (UK) were just accepted to the archives. How come when I added them a few months ago they weren't deemed "metal enough" for the archives but, with no new material out, they suddenly are?

The album is available for sale on the Neurot Records site:

http://www.neurotrecordings.com/home.aspx

When a band is removed for whatever reason, is the information kept at all? Can the band be added back, or does it need to be re-submitted?

I'm not suggesting it is, just wondering what's changed for them to now be considered "metal enough". Just comes across as rather odd that, even though they've not got any new material out, that they're now suddenly worthy. Just makes me wonder if some bands aren't thoroughly examined before accepting/declining the submission.

Maybe the site's one single moderator suffers from multiple personality disorder.

Heh...
I listen only song from myspace.
Song from EP on one website doesn't work.
On review they were metal and on myspace sample IMO to so I add them.
If they aren't metal on EP I can remove them.
Someone have it?

It might be an idea to perhaps email the band to see if the band can send you the MP3s of the full EP for you to see if they're metal? From their MySpace yes they do sound metal, which is why I submitted them a few months back to the archives.
