Actually Aborted are very popular among scene fags ...

Modern Aborted fits in with scene music extremely nicely. Maybe if it was a shirt for old school Aborted it could be a little bit of a surprise, but they've sucked scenester style for years now.

Everything seems logic, but that. I really cannot understand. Anything to do with the laws having validity in Florida?

Well that guy was wearing a hoodie over it the whole time so I could only see a yellow-coloured Aborted logo. Me on the other hand, I have an Engineering the Dead hoodie.

No, it's just pointing out where the band is so one can determine what "very well known" studio it is. ;)

It's official, Deceased fucking rule. I only downloaded As the Weird Travel On after everybody tossed it off in that thread a while back, and I just happened to find Behind the Mourner's Veil at Disc Replay today, so I bought it. I didn't realize it was an EP with only three original songs on it until after I bought it, but it was still well worth the six bucks. :headbang:

Be sure to check out Supernatural Addiction - I reckon it does the whole awesome thrash thing better than on As the Weird Travel On. This is probably because the latter has some ridiculously long songs on it which for me seem to drag on a bit.

The studios which don't want to be known as a studio that tolerates NS bands...? Moral obligations aside, it's quite bad for business.

I've never checked out any Big Boss solo material, or even looked at the page for it, actually. I'm completely mystified as to why you would have Blackie in the band and not utilize him as a guitarist. That guy made early Root so awesome.

I'm quite sure he did play on the "Belial's Wind" album.

Big Boss's solo stuff is weird. THe first album is really experimental and mostly done with keyboard. I don't like it much. 'Belial's Wind" is great black/death metal in the Czech vein though; definitely check that one out. The most recent is all slow and moody stuff, much like Equirhodont in a way, but more concentrated on Big Boss's vocals, and with a bonus track that's more metal and energetic than the rest of the album.

Incidentally, I can now, of course, state my real feelings about "Hell Symphony". Expect a ..um...remedial 85%+ review soon! haha

I just stupidly wiped everything from my ipod, except 15 songs. Now I have to wait for it to sync again and put all my songs back on there and it looks like it's gonna take a while. I want to go to bed, but I know I won't be able to sleep until this has been rectified.

Edit: grammar

Man.. I don't know if I'm even looking forward to seeing Exodus live along with Kreator/Warbringer/Belphegor on the 14th after listening to Let there be blood. Some songs retain most of their identity but a classic like Lesson in Violence sounds like it was detuned to the point of butchery. Either that or it's merely the tone. The lead tone sounds nice though.

I nearly got lost in a wood today. my class went to some ''spiritual retire'' in preparation of Easter, and in the spare time I and other two guys went walking in the wood near the house we were hosted in, lost our way and made it only by following the sound of blasphemies another guy was screaming for having stumbled and fell on the poath, which was very dirty and full of mud because yesterday was raining. blasphemy saves! LOL

Idk about you, but I'm pretty sure it's the vocals that turned me off. I kinda agree with you on that, but I'm 15 so I couldn't see them anyways, even if I wanted to.

Are there any working alternatives to iTunes, by the way? I hate that shit, it always steals 95% of my comp resources and lingers on even after i close it down.

Well, what's there to be ashamed of? Both are extremely awesome albums, just that Deathcult should be taken as a beast of its own. One day Empyreal you will see that Deathcult is a monster!!!!

You won't believe this shit. I just lost a bid for Jag Panzer's Ample Destruction, but then the seller decided to give me a second chance after the winner could not pay - so I won the item!

Truly a victory for metal. :metal:

Actually, no. This is on a new account that I made because we couldn't find the details of the old account. So I basically have nothing on there.

I care Cinerary! Start writing reviews on XYZ obscure brutal death metal band #138.

So I spent all morning in Barnes and Nobles reading "Lords of Chaos" a detailed book written by someone in the scene (I can never fucking remember the author) and he has loads of awesome information with interviews with everyone important. It's such a fucking interesting read, detailing the story of Mayhem, Darkthrone, church burnings, rise of black metal, Norway vs. Sweden feud, and the deads etc.

I was reading in an interview with Euronymous about how he fucking hated all the poser death metal bands like Entombed and Deicide etc. I was so confused. He seemed to be like such a "business man" even though he sucked at it. I found all that interesting, as well as the growing feud between him and Varg. The interviews with Samoth, Ihsahn, and Faust were really fucking cool also.

Meh, Hammerfall continues their tradition of releasing completely mediocre albums. They need to put out something with the effort Joacim put into his solo album

They probably should either call it quits, or change something big time. Actually, the last album from them I enjoyed was "Renegade", and that album wasn't even that stellar.

It actually took quite an effort for me to suck it up and soldier through the latest album. Given, the first 3 songs I didn't mind, but after that, ughhh....

On the bright side, at least they didn't go in an X-World/5 direction. :p Mind you, despite being a complete mess, at least that album was sorta interesting, in a "watching a car crash" sort of way.

Haha, probably. I haven't seen anyone like it yet (and I'm sure 99.999% of power metal fans would utterly hate it). I found it somewhat interesting and it had some songs I enjoyed, but at the same time, it is also a trainwreck of electronica (often rather noisy and dissonant) and trad metal. It almost borderlines on unlistenable at times. I swear Nils Rue's vocals were the only saving grace at times. There's some potential there (and I haven't really heard anything like this before, for good reason I'm sure) but they need a lot of work to make listenable. "Lunar Voyage" was a neat song though, but probably mostly due to the vocals.
