Formed as Tranz in late 1982. They changed their name to Desolation in order to avoid confusion with the German band Trance.

Bio and demo review in Hot Rockin #10 'zine (1985).

By 1987, 3 of their members, along with guitarist Steve Vetinte (and likely a drummer) had a band called Rescue. It's unclear whether or not anything was released under that name.

Not to be confused with ...
Anders Mellberg Bass (1984-?)
Niklas Gustafsson Drums (1984-?)
Ulrik Seppänen Guitars (1984-?)
