After being let go from Iced Earth following their debut album and a European tour, vocalist Gene Adam formed Atomik Cocktail with ex-Thunder/Cutthroat guitarist Bruce Batten. Recruiting a couple other musicians to fill out the lineup, they quickly recorded and released the "Free Drugs Inside" demo in '91.
