In autumn 2010 Malicious (aka Apparitional Wolf Shadow) went on to form Ancestral Shadows from the ashes of Frozen Forest out of desire to go in a new direction inspired by depressive and pagan black metal.

The band also add a member in 2003 (prior to the band's official formation) called S. handling Guitars & Drums
