The band split-up in the end of 2007. Dave Slocum and Kevin Bond went to form Red River Revival. Jimmy Hall and Mike Faulkner formed Bigfoot.

The band name is a word play on Artimus Pyle, who played drums in southern rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd.
