After recording their second demo in 1989, Amon was informed by Roadrunner Records that they had to change their name due to there being a King Diamond song titled "Amon Belongs to Them" on their album Conspiracy. The demos would later get re-released on the Deicide compilation Amon: Feasting the Beast.
