Zed Yago was a German heavy metal band formed in 1985 by the blues singer Jutta Weinhold. The band released two albums in 1988-'89 before splitting up. After the two albums, Jutta and the record label decided to dissolve the band in 1990 and start all over again. An entire new lineup was found and they changed their name to Velvet Viper.
